1. Log Into Your WordPress Dashboard
- Open your website login page (usually:
yourwebsite.com/wp-admin) - Enter your username and password
- You will land on the Dashboard
2. Open the Page You Want to Edit
- In the left menu, click Pages
- Click All Pages
- Find the page you want (e.g., Home, About, Services)
- Click the page title (not “Quick Edit”)
This opens the Block Editor
3. Understand the Block Editor Layout
The screen is divided into key areas:
Main Content Area (Center)
- This is where your page content is built
- Everything is made of blocks (text, images, buttons, etc.)
Top Toolbar
- + (Plus icon) → Add new blocks
- Undo/Redo
- Preview
- Save / Update
Right Sidebar (Settings Panel)
- Controls settings for:
- The selected block

6. Moving Blocks Around
- Click on a block
- Use the up/down arrows on the left toolbar

7. Adjusting Block Settings
- Click the block you want to modify
- Look at the right sidebar
- Change settings like:
- Color
- Font size
- Alignment
- Spacing
8. Saving Your Changes
- Click Update (top right)
- Wait for confirmation: “Page updated”
Important: If you don’t click Update, your changes are NOT saved.
9. Preview Your Page
- Click Preview
- Choose:
- Desktop
- Tablet
- Mobile
- Check how your page looks
10. Editing Template vs Page Content (Important)
With the 2024 block theme, some parts (like header/footer) are controlled by templates.
If you see:
“Edit Template”
Be careful:
- Page content = normal editing (safe)
- Template editing = affects the whole site
Only edit templates if you understand global changes.

- Editing the template instead of the page
